This video will show you how to share the SendOutCards app from your iPhone or Android device!
The SendOutCards App allows you to share the app through a directly coded link. This article will review the steps to share the link within the Android and iOS apps.
Sharing the iOS App
From the app home screen, click on the Account icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
The account menu will be displayed. Scroll down on the list of options and select the Share SendOutCards option.
The App sharing menu will be displayed. You will see the list of apps available to share the SendOutCards App with (A), as well as the option to copy the link to then paste it manually within another app (B).
To continue sharing the app, you will click on the option you would like to share with. Examples of the most common sharing platforms will be shown below.
Message (Text Message)
After selecting the Message icon, the device's text message system will create a new text message and insert the coded share link into the body of the message. You can add the recipient and any additional message, then send the text message as normal.
After selecting the Facebook icon, the Facebook app will open a sharing window. Your coded link will be added automatically to the post. The window will allow you to select the location and audience for the post to Facebook.
Mail (Email)
After selecting the Mail icon, a new email will be opened in the email app. Your coded link will be added automatically to the body of the email. You will add the recipient information and any additional message, then send the email as normal.
Sharing the Android App
NOTE: Due to variances between Android devices, some of the screen options may look different than depicted, but the process should be similar.
From the app home screen, click on the three dots located in the top right of the screen to open the account menu.
From the account menu, click on My Account.
From the My Account menu, click on the share icon in the top right corner of the screen.
Once you click on the share icon, a list of apps and services will display. This list represents the various options available to share the SendOutCards App to. In the example below, you will see the Messages and Twitter icons as examples. If the option you are looking for is not displayed, you can click on the See All or More option to list all available sharing options.
After clicking on the See All or More option, you see the additional sharing options on this device like Facebook and Gmail for example, will be displayed.
NOTE: If you do not have the Facebook, Gmail or other compatible apps downloaded on your phone, the corresponding sharing option will not be displayed.
To continue sharing the app, you will click on the option you would like to share with. Examples of the most common sharing platforms will be shown below.
Messages (Text Message)
After selecting the Messages icon, the devices text message system will create a new text message and insert the coded share link into the body of the message. You can add the recipient and any additional message, then send the text message as normal.
Gmail (Email)
After selecting the Gmail icon, a new email will be opened in the Gmail app. Your coded link will be added automatically to the body of the email. You will add the recipient information and any additional message, then send the email as normal.
After selecting the Facebook icon, the Facebook app will open a sharing window. Your coded link will be added automatically to the post. The window will display where the post is to be shared. In this example, the post would be shared to your own Facebook timeline. If you wish to change the location of the post, click on the post options tab.
The posting options tab will open the post settings. On this screen, you can select to post on your own timeline, a friend's timeline, or Facebook group (A). You can also select the privacy setting to select who will be able to see the post (B). Click done when you are finished.
Click on POST to share the app and submit the post. You have now shared the app successfully.
NOTE: For your convenience, the SendOutCards app will remember the last app or service that you utilized to share the app. The icon for the applicable app or service will be displayed next to the sharing icon. In this example, the Messages (text message) icon is displayed. The next time you share the app, you can click on the icon directly to share via the Messages (text message) application.
